Join the International Volunteer Corps

An original way to overcome poverty

Our International Volunteer Corps are women and men who agree to work full-time and long term in our programs and operations alongside poverty-stricken populations. Our members are young and old, single or married with families, and come from diverse social-economic status, race, religious or agnostic, and cultural origins. However we share one common commitment – to work together to build a humane and egalitarian society.

Our lifestyle
We live a modest lifestyle to stay closer to the realities faced by families in extreme poverty. By our vows of simplicity, we reject the notion of career building and retain the concept of equality by receiving the same amount of stipend regardless of our work, responsibilities, and length of years served.

Our work
As members of the Volunteer Corps, we are aware of the possibility to live and work away from our home countries to support our teams around the world. We work in small teams – helping and sharing responsibilities, failures, and successes.
Over time, our close relationship with people living in poverty and the need to depend on one another create strong personal connections among Volunteer Corps members. These connections are our source of support and strength that brings out the best in each one of us to build a world without poverty.
